You might try adding SpywareBlaster to that menu of security items you have
installed. It works very well in keeping stuff like that from ever getting
installed in the first place. Some of the latest villains are able to
hijack your browser without you doing a darn thing. You need to update
Spywareblaster just like Norton or Spybot as it adds new crapola to be
blocked all the time. Here's where you can get it.

| I've got my PC as 'attack proof' as possible...every single Microsoft
| update is applied, firewall is always up, AV always running and
| updated (or checked for update) daily and I do a complete scan every
| other day. I delete any mail with an attachment before it hits my
| inbox, if I ever get a pop up offering a download, I NEVER download
| it. Anything I DO download (i.e. -from Downloads.com), I always run
| Spybot immediately after to check it hasn't installed anything I
| didn't know about.
|
| Yesterday, I downloaded nothing at all.
|
| Fired up the PC this morning, and I got a message that AVG had spotted
| a virus in winnt/system32/pctptt.exe...I did the scan , sure enough,
| it came up with a dialler and fixed the problem.
|
| How? How on earth could that have got onto my system?
