One problem, though, is that the old virus def files keep building
up in [drive]::\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec
Shared\VirusDefs and have to be cleared manually..Each def folder
is about 9 MB, making for a lot of space wastage.

LiveUpdate scheduling will work only if the client is installed in
"managed" mode and if has to download updates from the server.

Also, I don't think the corporate version has a time out on
updates.  My
university has been giving this one away to fac staff and students
for years
and we have never been asked to buy it again.  They do update when
a new
version comes out but no one who is still running an older version
has
problems with updates.   Kat
