By default Symantec Corporate AV only does updates every Friday night at
8PM.  You should go into the scheduling and change it to daily at some time
you know you will be online.  Then go into the advanced button and change
the settings to update 720 minutes either way of that time and to catch up
missed events within 24 hours.  Also, go into the configuration and set it
to delete virus files if it can't fix them.  Why keep junk it'll never allow
you access to in some Quarantine folder?  Silly defaults if you ask me.
That way you're really covered every day.  Kat
