bob.in.jersey,  Sorry, but I think you have that wrong, that is, if you 
are saying that I don't get requests to update AVG via e-mail. They most 
certainly do come from Grisoft.

Every time I receive one I right click on my task bar icon, click on 
Control Centre etc, and receive the appropriate file from the 'cz' site. 
Nothing is automated that pops up.
