YES pain..BUT that's the ONLY way to really be sure. A radio tech I know=
 said the same thing. ESPECIALLY if you have a possibility of storm=
 approaching. He used ot have service TVs that would get blown with surges=
 during storms. You really want protection?? UNPLUG..
