Allocated RAM is indeed 1024 MB.  More and more I think it is definitely a 
memory problem and is caused by the attachment extractor utility dealing 
with so many folders with so many messages with so many and so large 
attachements.  Total message store is 50 files and 4.65GB.

Could video memory or lack thereof cause/contribute to the slow screen 
draws?  I have 256 MB.

I am gonna play around with the store a bit.  Delete some folders, split 
some into smaller folders, have the utility work with only 1 or 2 folders 
instead of about 15.   I copied the store to a shared folder and then to the 
console drive C: so will play with it there rather than on the host.

I'll let you know how that plays out.
