So Colleen, if one follows these instructions and removes certain programs
from the list, then those programs are still available by manually starting
them up when you want to use them, is that correct? ~Glo

Sorry, I just assumed XP. I should know better. If you mean the programs
that you see when you click on Start here's what you do:
Click Start, Settings, Taskbar & Start Menu
Click Start Menu Programs
Click Remove
Click on the program and then click Remove.
