hey Selene... have you checked your sound scheme to make sure that the
settings for your yahoo messenger and email notification are still valid?
if these files were moved, you have to reassociate them.  go to control
panel, sounds and or multimedia, depending on your operating system to
check.

can you play an audio cd?
