Mike, that worked! Thanks! BTW it seems that if a shortcut key has 
already been created for a shortcut, it won't work if the shortcut is 
dragged into that folder. The shortcut key must first be deleted, the 
shortcut then dragged into the folder, and the shortcut key recreated there.

No, deleting a shortcut on the desktop cancelled the shortcut key.
