I am wondering if the same CD was used to install the program on multiple
computers. Also Microsoft has in the past offered trial
versions that are full featured but have a limit on number of timmes it can be
installed. Maybe this is one of those. I had one for
Office 2003 when it first came out.
Just some ideas.

Bran,
This is the first time I've ever heard of this 'number of installs'
policy and I'm having a seriously hard time with the concept. Reinstalling
an app is usually the result of a problem with the software. I find it
absurd that the customer should be punished for trying to repair a badly
acting app.
Are you aware if deleting the main folder eliminates this counter that's
telling her she has exceeded the max number of reinstalls?
Peace,
GMan
