Welll at this point if I COULD have separate units it would cost me 3 times 
what one all in one would cost, depending of course on how much one has to 
spend.  I can get a sufficient all in one for less than $150. that will 
surve my purpose.. If I was to go single units I still have to go scanner 
and fax and some kind of copier...The cheapest scanner was nearly $100. etc 
and so forth...Since I don't do pics via printer it's not worth the bother 
to spend $$ to get something tht's worthy of pics. etc. The printer I have 
came as a bundle and is fine for my needs which is what I am using now..but 
I need the copier, scanner etc.. so The all in one will probably be what I 
get......
