I forgot to add my computer specs.

Toshiba Satellite P105-S6147
1.67 GHz Intel Pentium processor
2GB RAM
Vista Home Premium x86

I also don't know when the problem started as the laptop is about 2 years
old and I had never booted into safe mode.  I only noticed it when
attempting to run a Malwarebytes scan using safe mode a few weeks ago.
