Gman,
It would be nice if it was that easy but it's not that check. My Computer and
select Properties>sys. res. shows my two drives in the lower box. click on C:
and settings another box appears with the slide but the slide is greyed out.
In the first menu with the box with the C: and D: drive there's a small check
box above it on the left without a check that says" Turn off restore system
restore (disabled by Group Policy) The small check box and these words are all
greyed out also. A check can't even be placed in the small box if you want to
because it's greted out anyway.
If you're confused, I am too. The important thing is, the slide is greyed out
and can't be turned down because it's greyed out.
Thanks, Matt

Matt,
An easier way to get to System Restore's settings area is to just right
click on My Computer and select Properties. It's one of the back tabs.
After doing the above, are you able to select a drive from the list
(assuming there's more than one partition or drive) and click on the
Settings button? If so, are you now able to move the slider at all?
Peace,
Gman
