Hi Troth, I had a progam/have that does not detect my zone alarm running, I

> Just for testing purposes, I had them both on, and no problem. But, in
general, if you have ZA there really is no need for the Windows one. For
some reason, on my installation here, the new security advisor in SP2
doesn't detect that I have a firewall running. So, it tells me that I don't
have a firewall running, and asks if I want to have the Windows Firewall on.
There's an option that says "I have my own firewall and not to monitor" so I
check this off and it leaves me alone. NOW... the reason I say this is
because this new security advisor is supposed to know that you have a
firewall running. And, supposedly, if lets say I have ZA running, something
shuts down ZA, the Windows Firewall is supposed to turn on automatically.
Whether it does or not I don't know. I can't test it because like I said it
doesn't detect my ZA running and I have it set to not monitor my firewall.
Would be good for someone to test it that has their installation of ZA
detected.
> Regarding whether it asks for programs to come through... it asks for
incoming but not outgoing. However... it DOES ask for outgoing if its a
SERVER that's attempting to run.
