-=PCTechTalk=- Re: SENT filtering on OE 6

Doug, I've tried everything I can think of and it just ain't happening.
the quickest way I can think of is to drag and drop from the sent items
folder to the specific folder--I know, that's not the "automatic" function
you're looking for, but I can't think of anything else either--like you, I
spent a lot of time trying different things and my friends are getting some
pretty weird emails from me right now (testing). You know, the weird thing
is that in the rules one of your choices is "when the TO line contains
people" but then at the bottom the description says "apply this rule after
the message ARRIVES"--the to line wouldn't be containing arrived messages,
and I think therein lies the problem, another one of MS's glitches that they
overlooked in creating the rules folder. Even the one I sent to myself
didn't go into the right folder, just ended up in the sent items folder.

The weird thing is, is that with the rules specifying that anything from me
should go to a certain folder, and when I send an email to myself, it works,
but when I send an email to someone else, it doesn't ? ? ? ?
Glo, I don't want to keep going through the sent items after every time I
send a email, but I may have mis-read your post, did you have a solution to
this ?

Any ideas anyone ? ?

Doug.

I have no clue as to how to do this but when you find out would you mind
sharing? This would be very helpful here.

automatically
go into certain folders by the filtering system, and it's great, I've set
up
certain business folders for them, but when I try to track down an email I
have SENT to a certain person, I have to go searching though the sent
items
folder. Is there any way that you can get for example, you have 3
clients,
a, b, c, and whenever I send an email to client a, it will automatically
go
into the folder called a, and whenever I send an email to client b, the
email automatically goes into folder b.
