I have purchased but not yet installed both Roboform and GoodSync.
Roboform as you know stores passwords. In order to protect your
passwords from other users (authorized or not) you have the option of
passwording the user ID that stores all your passwords.
GoodSync is a synchronizing utility that will sync your portable
Roboform with an installed Roboform or multiple instances of Roboform.
It will also sync other files and folders.
The new user ID and password it asked for was probably to prevent others
from accessing GoodSync and synchronizing your Roboform to their Roboform.
