Whoa! I've never heard that shortcuts use much resources. I have a lot of shortcuts on my desktop, so I made an Icons folder and drag and drop them in it to save clutter. Would I be better off to delete them and take time to start them from the programs menu? I always thought the amount of resources used for shortcuts on the desktop was negligible.
