I use the Quick Launch toolbar myself. As you add new items to the quick launch bar, you may see the need to organize them in a useful manner. I usually arrange them alphabetically. But, if there are ones I use quite often, I change the name of the shortcut. You can right click on a shortcut and name it anything you choose. I choose to put a number and then a space before the name of a link. For instance..say I want Paint Shop Pro to be at the top of the list .. and then maybe Texture Make (A graphic Program) Then Xara 3D Version 6 Then my calculator Then Copernic Search program and then of course.. CleanUP! Well, you can see that those names would not be in the right order if I use their names. Besides that, the other 15-20 items on my Quick Launch Taskbar would be intermingled. So, I do the following: I right click on the Paint Shop Pro X2 icon and rename it to 1- PSP X2 I then follow that with the others I want in this specific order 2 - Texture Maker 3 - Xara 3D 6 4 - Calculator 5 - Copernic 6 - Clean up! Then I just allow the other items to be in the list alphabetically. So, when you right click on the Task Bar Launcher, and choose sort by name.... the number items come first..and then the alphabetical ones. You can also use the ~ and the ! when naming files..but... that can get confusing. (I use these same techniques when I have folders in directories. The ones I use the most, I start the name with a number or a ~ or and !. NOTE: I ONLY rename file FOLDERS that contain DATA. If you change the name of a file FOLDER that contains the program files (the EXE to run the programs) the program may not run from the shortcut as it will be looking for a file folder that no longer exists. (You just renamed it..so the old file name does not exist) I hope this helps and doe NOT confuse anyone. If it's not alreayd showing, right click on the Taskbar and go to Toolbars > Quick Launch to make it available. I use the left mouse button to grab and drag the top of the Taskbar upward until it shows a few extra rows, I rearrange the locations of the Quick Launch and Task Button areas (to set one section above the other) and then set the entire Start/Taskbar to Autohide when I'm not using it. I then populate the Quick Launch area with shortcuts to all of my most used programs, text files, websites, hard drive locations, etc.. The result is that I normally have the desktop showing over the entire monitor, but I also have one click access to nearly everything I need from Quick Launch.
