One added thing to check... when you are in the Image/Resize... make sure 
you check the box to MAINTAIN ASPECT RATIO.

That will keep the picture the same..it will just be smaller.

Otherwise...you will end up with some weird looking pic.... This is the 
voice of experience here... ha ha!
