-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Repeat: Advice ~ Memory sticks & CIS Benchmark Re: ShopNotes Mag Issue 13 Vol No 3

Andy: I don't know anything about it. This is why I asked in the =
first place:=20

This is what I wrote earlier asking about it.

I've got two 250 GB Western Digital Hard Drives, set up as "Mirror" in a =
=3D
Dell Dimension 8400. I have 2 x 512 MB RAM. =3D20
I back up to CD/DVD-RW every month. =3D20
Note: I've lost 2 hard drives since February 2005 and the 2 Western =3D
Digital are running sweetly. =3D20

I have been thinking about a memory stick to back up, the moment =3D
something doesnt appear to be right, but realise that I could buy one =
=3D
that doesnt back up all data. Bellarc tells me I have 234 GB free.
Question: Can someone please recommend a memory stick that would back =
=3D
up my HD, and some? I know, the math isnt difficult but I would like =
=3D
the advice of those with experience who might recommend, please. It =3D
might be of interest to others.=3D20

Re: Belarc ~ System Security Status:=3D20
Having accessed Belarc Advisor for this purpose it states that System =
=3D
Security Status is 3.13. out of 10, but it states, under Microsoft =3D
Security Updates "Status Unknown" I am up to date with MUs. =3D20
Question: Can someone please also explain the CIS Benchmark principle =
=3D
please. In words of one syllable please. d;^)

Its now 23.02 GMT time and I am about to quit for the night.
