-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Removable Disk (G:)

Before you scrap your camera memory card, check if the little tab to lock
and unlock it (to stop you from recording)didn´t get switched on when you
put it into computer. That happened to me once when I took it out of the
memory reader. Maybe its not corrupted!

Well I took the card out of my camera and put it in the
computer. After that it wouldn't work in my camera. Called
Olympus and the tech told me that I had corrupted the card.
Only using the USB port and uploading was the correct way.
Since the camera's instructions read like a Boeing 747 jet
manual, I gave it to my 17 year old grandson who learned how to
work it in a NY minute.

Give me a computer any day!!!

You're warm Sandi,

It's a device you plug into a USB port, then take the memory
card from
your camera or other device and plug into it to load the
contents on
your computer. They usually read several different types of
cards.I'd
rather just use the USB cord that came with my camera, rather
than
removing the SD card all the time. Would be handy if you had a
camera
with a missing USB cable I suppose.
