Mike, I had save a couple of your prior messages about backing up the
registry, one in 2001 and the other in 2002. These seem to be outdated.
From your current message I found the Backup Utility Wizard. Is System
State data the same as the Registry?
What I would like to do is back up the registry, name it, and save it in My
Documents. Then I would like to save it to a floppy. I already have all of
my pictures on CD so they are safe (unless the house burns down). Then I
would like to save most of the folders in My Documents and put that on a
CDRW so I could update and overwrite periodically. Does that sound like a
viable plan? If so please walk me through the backing up of the registry
(unless System State data is synonymous with registry).
Thanks,
Joyce
P.S.I tried backing up the registry from your previous tutorials but things
have changed. These were probably written for Win 98
