Hi Group,
I'm running Xp home on a Hp Pavilion 520c and I would like to know how to do a
search to find the file that would put the backup feature on my desktop, thus
enabling me to do make a complete system backup.
TIA,
P.

Be careful in running the restore disk. It could erase
everything and restore your hard drive to the way it
was when you bought the computer. When you run the
disk look for advanced options and options to restore
individual files and folders. I am not aware of any HP
recovery disk that will just redo your hard drive
without warning. There seems to be a lot of Pavilion
owners on this list, so maybe if you post your model
number and year, you can get detailed instructions if
you need them.
