Hi there Teri Lee,
It is always a good option to turn off unnecessary
operations when burning a disk.
To turn off the screen saver go:
START > SETTINGS > CONTROL PANEL > DISPLAY > SCREEN
SAVER and go to the top of the list where you will see
"none" and select this.
There are many ways to get to this, and this is but
one of them.
While you are in the Control Panel, select "Power
Options" and turn off the three options, to disable
your standby/and power down options.
That's all there is to it.
You can go back and reinstate these when you are
finished.
Of course the time to burn your disk may not be
sufficiently protracted for all these operations to
effect you (I mean you may be able to finish the task
before they kick in) but this reply is purely in
response to your query.
Cheers,
John Lehn (Sydney Australia)
