Do you remember OS/2? I was among the first consumers in England to get a
view of it through a member of the computer club I was in. I also got a
preview of what would eventually become today's DVD data disc. The old
Laser Discs. Remember them. I saw one that was basically an
almanac/gazeteer of England. Zoom in on any city or village down to the
street level, get demographics about the village and actually see local
features such as gov't bldgs and parks. Encarta with a British accent.
How long has it been since you saw a 5-1/4 inch disk? Can you say double
density? Please pass the disk notcher.
