Hi, I am a bit confused here. I have a Roxio Easy creator version 5. Is it same as Adaptec or are the two things different. By the way, I recently upgraded from Win Me to Win XP and since have not been able to write CDs even after reloading completely the Adaptec Easy creator 5. The CD writer was working before I upgraded to Win XP. Can some one help. Can some one give me a link to the web site from where I can upgrade Adaptec Easy creator to Version 6. It took around 20 min. to erase the -RW, it only had about 1/2 inch of recording on it. And I do have tons of CD-Rs. I think I have Nero around here somewhere, but couldn't understand it and Adaptec is so easy to use (at least it used to be!) Have you heard of 'CD Recording Suite 4' by Ashampoo? I'm considering this because it sounds like everything I need, although I don't suppose anything is much good if you don't know how to use it! If you'd like to take a look at it and tell me what you think I'd appreciate it. http://www.infopackets.com/gazette/20040819.htm In the meantime I should be able to do my Quicken backup with Adaptec, shouldn't I? And how do I back up to a folder on the HD first, before I make the CD? That sounds like a good idea. ~Glo ----- Original Message ----- From: T.
