ok, there is a .QDF (Quicken Data File) file that is 1.44 MB, so that must
be the backup, which is a little too big for a floppy and is the reason I
wanted to save to a CD. My current file is named Current, so if I restored
the backup and used a different name would that overwrite my Current file or
just make a copy with a different name? My backup is named Peter Rabbit.
I'd really like to see it, but don't want to mess with my Current folder.
Maybe I should wait until after I do my taxes before I try this :o) ~Glo

You probably won't be able to open the files. But you should be able to
do a restore using the *.qdb files in the saved folder or on the CD.

BTW, just do a backup. That should create a single *.qdb file. That's
all that needs to be saved. Then, if you reinstall or install on
another machine, just restore from the backed up *.qdb file.

(I think it's a *.qdb file, I may be wrong since it's been a while since
I used Quicken. But it should just be a single file.)
