You probably won't be able to open the files.  But you should be able to 
do a restore using the *.qdb files in the saved folder or on the CD.

BTW, just do a backup.  That should create a single *.qdb file.  That's 
all that needs to be saved.  Then, if you reinstall or install on 
another machine, just restore from the backed up *.qdb file.

(I think it's a *.qdb file, I may be wrong since it's been a while since 
I used Quicken. But it should just be a single file.)
