-=PCTechTalk=- Re: PrtScn results-Don

Hi Don,

No I had not thought about booting in safe mode, but I will. And I will post
back to let you know the results.

Several years ago 'back in the day', my g'sons, who were quite young at the
time, were given old computers that no one wanted. I learned a great deal
working on them. Like swapping memory sticks, installing modems, putting in
working floppy drives, reformatting, upgrading Windows and so on. It was fun
because I answered to no one but myself if I had to re-do things. And since
the pcs were throw-aways we had nothing to lose.

After my neck surgery, I had difficulty bending my head so I became the
brain to their brawn. I would tell them what to look for and to do the work.
They became more familar with the insides of a pc, so there were rewards all
around.

Thanks for your suggestion. I suspect that I had better start backing up
more of my data. I am also thinking of taking a look at Acronis or similar
programs; I would hesitate to use that when I know I have a big problem in
case I would just recreate the trouble. I don't know if that is true about
what I am experiencing now.
