My email has been very intermittent while I am on vacation so please excuse
if some of my replies are a little late.
I would suggest that because the problem exists only when both 512MB sticks
are installed the problem is related to a specific address (above 512), the
data being written to a specific address (above 512) or at the point where
the
system overlaps memory onto the second stick.
It is quite possible that the "defect" exists only when two sticks are
installed or more specifically, two 512MB sticks. If available, try some
different memory sticks (not in combo with existing sticks).... maybe a 1GB
stick or two different 512MB sticks or even two 256MB or two 1GB sticks.
