-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Partitoning hard drive

If you are using XP I think partition Magic will do a good job.
I used it for years! It does not work on Vista.

I do not know of any software from Seagate for partitioning disks.

It does not work on Vista.

I purchased a PC with Vista and had to buy new software. I bought Acronis
Disk Director. It was quite easy to use. I found the interface very
similar to Partition
Magic. It was also easy to use. Acronis has no problem handing disks with
data on it,
Several knowledgeable people on the list recommended it. This version will
work on XP or Vista, so you are covered. I am not sure about 98 & ME. You
would have to go to the web site to check out that info.
I bought it from a Users Group as it was cheaper buying it from them than
buying it from Acronis.
You have the option of just downloading the software & manual or having them
mail you a CD with I think is about $5 more. I got the CD version.

The price was very reasonable.
Ahhhhh I just found my email from my order. Here is the info below.
These folks were very nice to deal with and I got my order quickly and it
works just great.

Just my two cents...
