-=PCTechTalk=- Re: -=PCTechTalk=-connecting outlook contact files with 2 PCs

Gman,
( ~ I sent off that other email before reading my in box. Sorry about that.
~ )
Okay, if I have Outlook on my laptop, is it just a matter of pointing
something to files ending in .dbx ? (I'm not really sure where in Outlook
to find where to point to the files on my desk top Outlook.)
But you have my undivided attention because I want to learn.
Thank you so much,
Gaynel

Gaynel,
I already share my OE DBX files between two Windows installations. so I
know it can work. However, it will only be successful as long as the
network remains up & running and the laptop is able to connect to that share

on the desktop PC. Also, don't try to access either source from both
systems at the same time. yeah, I KNOW it kinda goes without saying,
but I get paid to say it anyway        ;o}

Before setting it up, be sure to make a backup (Copy) of the files about

to be shared, just in case something goes awry.

Peace,
GMan
