Gaynel,
    I already share my OE DBX files between two Windows installations. so I 
know it can work.  However, it will only be successful as long as the 
network remains up & running and the laptop is able to connect to that share 
on the desktop PC.  Also, don't try to access either source from both 
systems at the same time.       yeah, I KNOW it kinda goes without saying, 
but I get paid to say it anyway        ;o}

    Before setting it up, be sure to make a backup (Copy) of the files about 
to be shared, just in case something goes awry.
