-=PCTechTalk=- Re: PCTT's bouncy, bouncy e-mail addresses

Hope I'm not one of them GMan. Last week I was having trouble with my
mailbox being full. Set one of my heavy groups to no mail, and everything
seems all right now.

Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- PCTT's bouncy, bouncy e-mail addresses

Hi Kids,
About a week ago out of curiosity, I enabled Freelists' server to send
me a copy of all of the messages bouncing back to it from our members
addresses. We had been allowing the server to delete them prior to that.
These messages bounce back because there is a problem with the delivery
destination. Either the address no longer exists, it's been placed on
Disabled status due to lack of use or the receiving server says the address'
mailbox is full and will not accept new messages until it has been emptied.
To put it mildly, there are LOTS of them and I could really use everyone's
help to clean the mess up a bit.

If you have changed the address you use to receive PCTechTalk messages,
it would help out a ton if you could double check to make sure you
unsubscribed your old addy. Many of the problematic addresses are from
Yahoo.com, Softhome.net & Mailandnews.com addys, but there are numerous
others as well. Some are even regular ISP addresses. I do understand that
if you changed ISPs before you had the chance to unsub the old addy, there's
no easy way for you to check. If that's the case (or if you're not sure how
to check on an old addy's subscription status), please send a quick note to
the moderators addy below telling us the full name of any old addresses you
no longer use for PCTT so we can remove it manually and stop all of these
bounces.
