It shows a similar problem with my machine. They do say to
try it once with real time virus checking disabled. I have=20
Norton 2001 and tried it when I disabled Nortons. Guess what?
Problem disappeared. So, I guess it's a trade off, but it makes
me want to check out other antivirus programs when my
Norton subscription expires.

Went to www.pcpitstop.com and ran a complete test on this new hard
drive.=20
I am running a newer gateway 1.2 htz, WIN XP, dial up (only thing
available here at this time)=20
The test showed a couple of different problems.=20
DISK drive C No Label (used there auto fix for repair.)=20
catches speed 147.2 (64%) Site claims I should have a catch speed of
appox 241.=20
Did not see a way there to improve this. Can anyone give me some ideason
how to fix this.=20
INTERNET MSIE 6.0:5.1 Bandwidth down is 36=20
Bandwidth up is 25=20
Any ideas on how to fix this.=20
My ISP for this test was NetZero
