I think 'Delete from server' means that, but *after* the download is
complete. If you don't want the download, I believe you need to go to
the ISP mail site and delete from there.
If the download time is unacceptable, this is the way to go, but for me,
this would be more time consuming that emptying a trash folder.
You could, perhaps, dream up a spurious email address and change the
unwanted list's server to that. But this is just a thought!!
Another option is to change your email address, but this may not suit you.
