Hi Bob,
    The webmail suggestion may be his only hope, but much depends on how his 
email is set up.  If he is using POP3 access, the emails are usually deleted 
once they are confirmed as downloaded into his email client (OE in this 
case).  On the other hand, if he is set up to use SMTP, all of his email 
will be found in the webmail's interface, too.

    Still, I don't see any reason why an antenna adjustment would affect his 
already downloaded email.  It's very likely that something else is affecting 
it. I wil have to hold off on guessing until I know more about how he 
collects his email (POP3 vs. SMTP).
