Dear Beaver,
    The whole point of a backup is to store a copy of 'whatever' to a second 
location away from the originals.  I would never expect OE Backup to use the 
store folder for this.  I also wouldn't expect it to use the DBX extension 
for its backups since that's likely to require a licensing fee to MS if they 
did.

    Still trying to 'wrap my head around' why deleting all of a certain 
folder's DBX files would still allow the files to show up afterwards in OE, 
but I've seen similar situations that are probably related that have nothing 
to do with a backup program.  When you perform a full drive search, make 
sure you select the option for Advances settings and tell Search to look 
through system folders, hidden files & folders and to look within 
subfolders.  Not all of those options are turned on by default.
