There's only one BOOT.INI. The other is a backup, yes, and probably the =
same thing or slightly changed, but the BOOT.INI file on your system is =
the one called "BOOT.INI", not "BOOT.INI.BACKUP". So, "BOOT.INI" is the =
one you use. Its possible you may find a BOOT.INI in another location, =
maybe c:\windows or c:\windows\system32, but in general you would be =
using the BOOT.INI in the C:\ root directory cause this is what's being =
used on boot up.

Yes, when I search the C drive for Boot.ini I find two, Boot.ini.backup =
and=20
Boot.ini C:\Program Files\power Quest\Partition Magic 6.0. The question=20
remains which file to use or is neither the right one.
