We are going there today for her to tryout for the pep band.... If my husband isn't all anxious to leave ASAP, I plan on going to Admissions and asking how one would go about getting one. I think there would be a good market for them! but they might have a deal with IBM to take them back - but... it certainly won't hurt me to ask!!! Now - I'm sure we pay for it in our tuition! (but there are more expensive colleges that don't give them) But all of the students get laptops, and the campus is wireless, except for the dorms. They have printers around the campus and they can send whatever they need printed to the printers. It's a fairly small school. 2000 students, including the grad students. They get them their freshmen year, and then they give them back for their junior year and get new ones. I'd like to find out how to get my hands on one of the 2 year old ones. They come loaded with an office package and anti-virus and anti-spyware programs. Plus, some other things that the admissions office person couldn't think of. There's a small college - Grove City - north of me, that also gives the students laptops. That is supposedly one of the best deals in colleges in the country. -- <Please delete this line and everything below.> To unsub or change your email settings: //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk To access our Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ -- <Please delete this line and everything below.> To unsub or change your email settings: //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk To access our Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/
