Hi Glen and Welcome,
    It's not often that someone joins PCTT primarily to solve issues, but I 
completely and wholeheartedly support your purpose.  Feel free to lurk for a 
while or jump right in whenever you're ready.  Just be aware that the 
experience you gain here (and with any other help lists you choose to join) 
will bring you more expertise than you'll ever need to prepare for the 
wonderful world of IT.  Once you land in IT, you'll most likely find that 
the employees of that firm are only allowed to use IT approved hardware & 
software and, as a result, you'll never have to handle the variety of issues 
that we see here.

    I sincerely hope you enjoy your time with us.            :O)
