I have never tried to slipstream a recovery disk before.  I would imagine
that the more you make changes to it, the greater the chance of breaking it.
It sounds like it should work fine if you are just planning on slipstreaming
SP3 into it.

Excellent!  Then you don't have a 'true' Restore disk there.  From the 
little I read on the forums a while back, you stand a pretty good chance of 
making a slipstream-able version of it.
