-=PCTechTalk=- Re: OS install from HP Operating System DVD

The partition was created (I think) when I installed Kubuntu a while
ago. It installs while you are booted to Windows. It partiotions and
installs on the new partition but can be uninstalled via the
Add/Remove applet. I forgot that small point and simply formatted the
partition to clean it up for the XP install.

Would it be reasonable to think the manner in which Kubuntu created
the partition could be/might be the reason the recovery disc won't see
it?

I'll play around a bit but won't waste a lot of time on it.

Instead, a while back I asked about slipstreaming using a recovery
disc vs a normal install disk. You rplied it was possible but took
extra prep. Do you have a tutorial handy for that? :-))
