Hi don,
Congrats on the new toy! :O)
The HP DVD is an OEM item, which means it was set up at the 'factory'
only as a means to return the system to its 'factory' state. They likely
removed most, if not all, options that were not needed to accomplish that
goal. Each maker is different when it comes to 'branding' their recovery or
OEM disks, so there's still a chance that you would be able to modify the
contents of this disk to get what you want. Details on whether it's
possible and how to do it if it is will only be found by specifically
searching for that type of info on more specialized forums.
Today is a major cleaning day here, so I'll be offline (or only online
during breaks) for a good part of the day. If you don't find anything by
the time I get around to it, I'll see what, if anything, I can find.
Peace,
Gman
