There are two concurrently running versions of Firefox with the latest
versions shown as 3.0.12 and 3.5.1. 3.5.1 is more of a major rewrite of the
3.0.x version, but I guess it wasn't enough to warrant movng to 4.x.
I just updated mine to 3.0.12, but it sounds like you allowed it to move
into the 3.5.x realm. I chose to not do that because it would have rendered
most of my extensions unusable. If true, you can uninstall 3.5.1 and then
install 3.0.12 instead. There may be one or three extensions that still
report as not usable, but that won't be entirely true. It only means that
the author needs to make a tiny adjustment to one of the files inside the
extension to tell Firefox that it's alright to use it. I can show you how
to do that for yourself.
Peace,
Gman
