-=PCTechTalk=- Re: New CD drive req's?

This should NOT be a problem for you. MOST USB devices are backwards
compatible. In other words.. a 2.0 'should' work on a 1.0 port. It will
run at the 1.0 speed, not the 2.0 speed. In most cases, you will not really
care or notice the difference.

Just be sure, check the box for the assurance it is backwards compatible and
... ask the tech people in the store.

As for Win 98.. I do not know the answer. But, I would ask the tech person
in the store..and get their name.

Enjoy!

Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- New CD drive req's?

I would like to get an external CD-RW drive. However they all use USB 2.0
now, and my older PC only has USB 1.0 sockets... Is there a way around this?
Also, will Win98 pick up on an addl CD drive plugged into USB and handle it
OK?

Thanks,
Greywoulf
