in word, right click on a blank space in the menu bar and select drawing
(toolbar). When it come up select the line icon in the toolbar menu. Looks
like a backward slash. Draw your line. Make sure the line has to little
squares on each end, called handles. then go to the menu bar and select the
line type icon. Looks like a bunch of broken lines in the toolbar menu.
Select the type of line you want and the line you drew will change to that
type of line.
hope that helps.
