Dell has always had excellent customer service. The problem is
you have to use it so much. On my last Dell it was something
like 4 or 5 times. I would just as soon have a quality product
with minimum acceptable service instead of a crappy product with
Super service.

Thanks Don, I knew you meant to just save the current drivers, I
just added my 2 cents about using that type software. But here is
what I'm thinking, whoever loaded the OS didn't load the proper
drivers. Causing the thing to run like a turtle with blisters. I
mean 5 minutes to boot, longer to go into the control panel. But I
haven't thought to look at the device hardware manager for any
yellow ? marks so maybe the right drivers are loaded.....will
back them up, just let me know about my last question, using my
XP dell desktop cd....I like my dell desktop but would never buy
a dell laptop......I like the tech, they replaced my mb, cpu, ram
a few times..I can't do this myself being disabled so if I have
problems they send a tech out usually the next day with the
parts.....thanks for your help!
Rudy
