Run a program like BelArc Advisor to get the name/model number etc for devices Dell doesn't have drivers for. Then go to manufacturer's website to get the driver. I would do this for the more common drivers such as audio, video, network adapter, CD/DVD drive etc even if Dell has them. Dell may have an ISO image of the resource disk you could download and burn a replacement.
