you should be able to choose your format selection when you do the
instalation, assuming you boot from the 2k cd, my guess is don't take
the default, choose custom, then tell the installer what drive you wish
to install to and tell it to format using fat32.
I dont run 2k, but, I can say that XP pro has been the most stable of
all the windows I've run over the years and I have it running on NTFS
partitions.
What is "EBD" you mentioned ?
There are several ways to change the drives format, but, changing the
format of the boot drive without re-installing is not for beginners, I
can't say for sure, but usually different drivers are used for the
different formats, my gues is if you did 'convert' the current NTFS
format to fat32, when you try to boot the bootstrap loader will install
the NTFS driver still and will soon crash/hang because the drive is
actually formatted fat32, a totally different file structure. Thats why
I suggest a CLEAN fresh install selecting the FAT32 format option.
